American Hospital Association promotes lobbyist to CEO

Rick Pollack has worked at group for 32 years; replaces retiring CEO Rich Umbdenstock Pollack The American Hospital Association has promoted its top lobbyist, Rick Pollack, to president and CEO, effective September. He will replace Rich Umbdenstock, who is retiring. Pollack, 59, currently is executive vice president of advocacy and public policy at the $124 million-revenue association. A 32-year veteran of AHA, he will be the 11th person to hold the top spot in the organization's 117-year history.
